Edges in LAMINATE
A Laminate edge band is made from kraft papers, impregnated with melamine resins and has a smooth, flexible and abrasion-resistant surface. It is usually applied when a panel, also in laminate, cannot opt for a plastic edge. Indeed, being both laminated, they have a perfect match in terms of essence and embossing.
The thicknesses mainly used can vary from a minimum of 0.30 mm to a maximum of 1 mm. The main feature is its high heat resistance. Although, it can present some sealing problems with frigid temperatures, if the required installation procedures are not respected.
